In 2023/24 MY, sunflower oil production in Russia may increase to a record high in recent years – to 7.55 mln tonnes, which will also exceed the result of the previous season by 13.5%. This forecast was declared by Vladimir Petrichenko, general director of the Prozerno analytical center, on March 4, TASS reports.
“Due to the expected increase in production, exports of Russian sunflower oil in the current season could reach 4.59 mln tonnes, which is 14.3% more than 2022/23 MY (4.016 mln tonnes),” the analyst added.
