The domestic currency is expected to trade sideways as the impact of a softer US GDP growth data was offset by weaker Asian peers. The data released yesterday indicated that the US economy grew at the slowest pace in 2 years with a GDP of 1.6% annually against the forecasts of 2.5%. The pullback in US economy has improved the risk sentiment of investors and shall keep the Indian equities in green. However, weaker Asian peers and marginal increase in oil prices continue to constrain the upside potential of the currency. All eyes turns towards the release of US PCE reading due today, an indicator of inflation for the FOMC, which shall shape the policy outlook of the Fed.
