USGC Grain Price Report for week ending 26 Apr 2024

Corn planting has started in the US and is better than last year. As on 21 Apr 2024, 12% of the corn area has been planted, which is 2% more than the five year average (2019-2023). As on 21 Apr 2024, 3% of the corn has also emerged. Even though some states have not received adequate rans and it is dry, farmers continue to plant.

Corresponding the FOB prices were as under

US Gulf $194-198 /MT (Apr – Aug)

PNW $231-227 (Apr-Jul); US#3 corn 220-225/MT (Jul)

Other origin corn prices were

Argentina $200-190/MT (Jul); Brazil $210-200/MT (Jul) and Ukraine $185-190/MT (Jul)

Sorghum prices at $251-253/MT FOB Texas

Barley prices from different origins : France $213-217/MT; Argentina $200-205/MT; Black Sea $180-185/MT and Australia $240-245/MT

DDGS prices – May-Jul  US Gulf $195-197/MT; PNW rail delivered $232-236/MT. Delivered price of DDGS to Vietnam $278-283/MT; Thailand at $293-297/MT; Myanmar at $290-294/MT (Prices for DDGS Profat 35%), bulk in Containers. CGM prices on FOB basis 434/MT and CGF at $100/MT.
