Rupee open near record low level around 83.34 levels and trade sideways ahead of month-end as well as quarter-end settlements. The dollar might be pressured by profit taking, corporate dollar sales and reversal in major crosses. On the other hand, mixed Asian equities shall keep gains in Indian markets limited. Moreover, weaker Asian peers particularly Yuan, as well as higher oil prices amidst tighter supply concerns driven by Russian production cuts, adds misery to the rupee. However, the RBI will closely track and limit any sharp depreciation in it’s currency.
